Celebrate ‘Thai New Year’

This year 'Thai New Year' known as ‘Songkran’ is being celebrated on the 13th to 15th April. Traditionally in Thailand they throw lots of water all over eachother from water pistols to all sorts of various containers. However it’s also a time to pay respect to elders and visit a ‘Wat’ (Buddhist monastery) to pray and give food to monks.

So to help celebrate this special event we want you to either throw lots of water over a loved one or cook one of our delicious Thai Green or Red curries!

Meet the Kaffir Lime Leaf

These fragrant little green leaves are very aromatic and can be used fresh or dried. Together with our Thai spices they provide that essential Thai aroma and taste in all Thai cuisine.

Did you know that the leaves have also been traditionally known to help cleanse the mind and body and the juice and rind of the kaffir lime are used in traditional Indonesian medicine. The oil from the rind also has strong insecticidal properties...
