Happy Mother's Day

Last year we shared with you lots of different ways of saying ‘Mother's Day', here's what we found…. ‘Muttertag, La Festa della Mamma, Mothering Sunday, Fête des Mères and these are just a few.

This month's newsletter is dedicated to our lovely mums! Mothering Sunday is about bestowing gifts and flowers to mothers everywhere and to remind us of how special they are. We think it's a pretty good reason to cook up a delicious banquet for them using our exciting meal kits.

Cardamom (elichee) - these little green pods are not only lovely and green in colour but they’re also really tasty in food. They're known as the ‘Queen of Spices’, widely used for flavouring both sweet and savoury dishes. It's also one of the spices used in Garam Masala and can be used in masala tea. Umm!

They have a sweet and aromatic flavour and are normally sold as whole pods.

They are also used for: nausea, fever, headache, eye diseases.

We use cardamom for the initial stages of cooking in our three step cooking process which is how real Indian cooking is done. They release their flavours slowly when popped into a bit of oil...
