Jeera Chicken

(Serves 4 Medium Heat/10 mins Prep/20 mins Cooking Time)

Shopping List

  • Chicken (4 breast fillets)
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Chillies
  • Fresh Coriander (for garnish - optional)
  • 3 tbsp Cooking Oil/low Cal Spray
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Jeera Chicken Spices

Preparation

Peel and finely chop the chillies, garlic and coriander.  Skin and wash the chicken and cut into small pieces if using chicken thighs or breast fillets.  Add Jeera Chicken Spices sachet with half a tsp salt and mix thoroughly.  Leave to stand for 15-30 mins.

Cooking the curry

  1. Heat the oil/low cal spray in a large non-stick saucepan over medium heat.
  1. Add Sachet 1 with the garlic and fry for a few seconds.
  1. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5 mins stirring occasionally.
  1. Next, add the chopped chillies, stir and cover with a lid.
  1. Cook until chicken is tender (approx 20-25 mins) stirring occasionally. Finally, check the seasoning and serve with fresh coriander.

Tip:  The chicken will cook in own juices; however if more juice is required to add 175ml water while the chicken is cooking.
