NAGA GHOST CHILLI: Bhut Jolokia Naga (an interspecies hybrid, mostly Capsicum Chinense with some Capsicum Frutescens genes), also known and ghost chilli and Naga Jolokia

Country of Origin: India, grown around Assam/Nagaland &Manipur

The Assamese word “jolokia means “ Chilli” and the word “ Naga” means “Kind Cobra” in Sanskrit. Its thought to originate in Nagaland North- Eastern India and named by the Naga people after the most venomous snake found in the region.

Uses: Used exclusively where pungency is required and not flavour. Good for hot curries , hot sauces and chocolate

Odour: Super-hot & earthy

Pungency Scoville : SHU 750,000-1,200,000
