Crispy on the outside and super tender on the inside - we all love the classic Salt ‘n Pepper chicken from our favourite Chinese restaurant. The mix of fried spices, battered chicken breast and vegetables always leave you craving more. Thankfully, this recipe is simple to make so that you can enjoy this dish whenever you want.

With our Salt & Pepper Chicken & Chips seasoning, you can create this rich dish in the comfort of your own kitchen. It’s perfect as a main, or as a side with your other favourite Chinese meals like Char Siu Spare Ribs, which we also have a spice kit for on our shop.

  1. Prepare your diced chicken breast. Mix the Spicentice Salt & Pepper Chicken & Chips Seasoning, salt and some black pepper.
  1. Rub the chicken in the spices and coat it evenly.
  1. Set aside and start chopping the vegetables - dice the red pepper, onions, and green chilli.
  1. Put 1 cup of cornflour on a large, flat plate.
  1. Add the marinated chicken and toss around the cornflour until coated.
  1. Heat 1 cup of oil.
  1. Add the coated chicken to the pan and cook until it turns light brown.
  1. Keep rotating the chicken until it is fully cooked, without burning it.
  1. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  1. Add the chopped onions and fry on a medium heat.
  1. Add the green chilli and cook for 2 minutes. Once done, you can add the red pepper and mix it.
  1. Add the onions and your chicken. Mix thoroughly until the vegetables coat the chicken.
  1. Top with spring onions and serve on rice.
